Here’s the final episode for our 4 part series marking the end of the W.W.J.D. Series. We trust you enjoyed enforcing the lessons at home with your kids. Stay tuned for our next series, SECRET AGENT 2911 embarking on 4 July 2010!

NOTE: Sunday Live! will be held at Haydn Willams LT @ 2:30pm for the next 2 weekends (13 & 20 June 2010) and ZionKidz setups will be from 1:00pm in Nursing Building 405, with Kidz Welcome at 2:15pm.

Enforcers: Part III of the W.W.J.D. series has been uploaded so check it out and lead the way @ home!

The Dream: To be ready to receive kids from all walks of life, church kids, street kids, community kids, good kids, rough kids, quiet kids, loud kids, playful kids, tall kids, short kids, kids precious in the eyes of God.

The Plan: To be have a ministry structure and Sunday Program ready to support the kids, parents, teachers in a safe and G0d-centered environment for everyone.

Step One of Many: Implement Rules @ Zionkidz which will have to be strictly enforced each week. The aim of these rules is NOT to make it more regulated but to create boundaries for kids to have maximum participation, protection and fun! Teachers not on stage/up front, should enforce these rules in a POSITIVE manner but do not be afraid to give STRIKES for breaking the rules or STARS for upholding them!

Wow! Time has flown by and we are now at the mid-point of the W.W.J.D series.

ZionKidz learnt about Being a Servant through a skit as they reinacted Jesus Feeding of the 5,000. The willingness of the the little boy to serve with all he had (5 loaves and 2 fish) saw one of the greatest miracles come to pass!

Cubby House learnt about sharing with others through the parable of the rich man so stored up riches on earth but couldn’t take it with them when he died.

BiG IDEA: Look out for opportunities to reinforce the lessons taught. Some Cubby House Kids were wanting what other children were eating during refreshments and we took the opportunity to ask the children “Do you want to share?”. To which we got the rewarding response “yeaaaahh……”.

This week is an exciting one with the launch of our Enforcers Program.

The Enforcers Program is mini-series for parents & guardians of children attending children church at ZionKidz. The aim is to involved them in reinforcing the lessons taught at ZionKidz throughout the week. Each mini-series (video) will contain the following segments:
1. Introduction to Enforcers Program: Aims & Objectives
2. Overview of the Lesson Taught
3. Memory Verse with Actions
4. One Practical Tip in Applying the Lesson

Parents/Guardians: Become an ENFORCER and lead the way!

What a blast we had last week launching the “W.W.J.D. Series” with a loud sound of praise, being the use of a PA system for Praise & Worship and games! Do feedback your thoughts on if this is something we should be doing on a regular basis.

Cubby House had fun learning about the Lord’s Prayer through a jig-saw puzzle and also enjoyed the ACTION-PACKED memory verse on being a workman approved by God!

BiG IDEA: Getting the kids involved with the teaching is a great way to maintain their attention span and reinforce the lesson taught. SO LET”S ALL GET GREATIVE!

As we encourage the kids to commit 2 Timothy 2:15 into memory over the next 4 weeks, we want to challenge all teachers & parents to set the example by doing the same. We have made it more creative by adding simple actions to help us all remember the verse so lets all commit this into memory!

BiG IDEA: Challenge the kids one-on-one during play/wait time to see if they can recall the verse. Make it fun and exciting… i.e. having small rewards (sweets/stickers/hi-5/etc) with you wouldn’t hurt.

Hi Team, we are EXTREMELY EXCITED over the launch of our WWJD series as this series will have a whole list of  ZionKidz’ “firsts” including the first time we will be using videos to teach in a much bigger capacity!

Please DO NOT show these videos to the kids before the launch of the teaching series! Lets WOW them with this new ideas!

Fresh from the oven… the Lesson theme for the next 4 weeks is W.W.J.D (What Would Jesus Do?) 

2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

The BIG picture we want to instil into the children lives is to teach them to be a true follower of Jesus.

A small team of us attended the Children’s Ministry Transformers Conference 2010 and it was a blast!

We had an awsome time soaking up inspirational jewels from Ps Rob Bradbury, Ps Dean Cuddy and the Kids R Us Team as well as a fantastic opporunity to hear about the great things God is doing in children ministries across Western Australia and Australia! Do check out their websites for some ideas to booooooast our creativity levels to the moon! = )
